Hotel Felcaro

The coat of arms of the Felcaro family can still be seen on this Austrian villa which is set within a green park that is ideal for taking after-lunch summer strolls. The tastefully restructured hotel, where you will immediately feel at home whether you are in the dining room or in the lounge, is managed by the same courteous and friendly family which has been providing guests with a warm welcome for generations.
The typical traditional cuisine includes seasonal dishes made from carefully selected local products. The choice of game starters includes deer tongue, cured neck of wild boar and various patés. In addition to the home-made pasta dishes with game sauces, you will also find typical Friulian soups, vegetable risottos and gnocchi. Second courses feature home-prepared game of both the furred and feathered variety. The selection of wines from the Felcaro family vineyard perfectly enhances the dishes offered, although should you wish to sample other wines, the restaurant has a small cellar stocked with the full range of Collio wines.
The hotel has been extended to include 20 comfortable and very spacious annexes, complete with all facilities, which are particularly suitable for family groups.
For sports enthusiasts, or for those who like to keep in shape, there is a tennis court, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium as well as bicycles for wonderful ecological outings… However, what you'll notice most is the silence that reigns over this rediscovered spot of Friuli which is surrounded by greenery in between the marvellous Collio vineyards and acacia woods.
The new neo-classical style dining room, which can hold approximately 120 people, is not only suitable for wedding banquets, baptisms etc… but also for business meetings, thanks to its up-to-date audio-visual equipment.
On the last Saturday of Carnival our Hotel Restaurant traditionally hosts the magnificent celebration of the Old Austrian Provinces.
This evening takes its inspiration from "Old Austria", starting from the menu with its typical Mittel-European flavours, to the music and splendid Viennese waltzs and to the costumes of those taking part: ladies with marvellous gowns from the Hapsburg court and smart upright officers in the uniforms of the Austro-Hungarian army.
Sea, mountains and hills combine to provide a splendid backdrop for scenery which is full of the flavours and scents which even today continue to make up part of this region of Mittel-Europe.
Our hotel is able to cater for all accommodation requirements, including those of large groups, and is the ideal place for organising business meetings in relaxing and comfortable surroundings.
